Knoxville Zoo

So…Im way behind on this post, but…I went to the Knoxville Zoo! :-)
For any of you who live under a rock, thats Knoxville TN….Home of the UT Vols. No I am not a football fan, but still.
Anywho, back to the zoo. (Hey, that rhymes, LOL)
So I went to the zoo, for the first time in like oh 17 years…yea Im that old. I have to say…aside from being 2 months pregnant and suffering from the first trimester fatigue and morning sickness, I had a blast! I couldn’t believe how much I enjoyed it. I guess there are just some things in life you never get to old to enjoy!

Natures Gifts

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again….when I don’t have photo sessions, flowers and animals become my targets!
But I have to admit, the mushroom…one of the coolest things I’ve seen in a while, and it was right my own back yard!

No Lions or Tigers….

…But the bears..OH MY!! Yes ladies and gentlemen, those are real, those are wild, and those are close enough to pet! These were taken on my yearly trip to Cades Cove with my mother and grandmother…A trip I didn’t want to take this year. Boy, am I glad that I went now!

OH! And the deer, she was just hanging out beside the road…And the woodpecker, well I just thought he was cool! :)

When Im in between sessions, I tend to take photos of flowers and animals…and luckily I have a yard full of beautiful flowers! I opened my door one morning to a yard full of beauty, so of course I had to grab my camera and capture them for all time!

These little birds are all over my porch! That may or may not have something to do with the bird food I provide them with, but I love that they visit me daily! I think they are beautiful!

I love taking photos of flowers!! They are such beautiful little gifts from God! You can pick them, take them home, put them in a vase with some water and enjoy them for a few days or weeks-OR…

You can print off a photo, frame it, and enjoy it for years! Just another reason why I love photography!
